biography text
Dickins first attempted to enter Parliament in 1784, when he contested Sudbury, but retired during the poll. Returned for Cambridge as a member of the Rutland group, he voted with Pitt on the Regency. There is no record of his having spoken in his first Parliament.
He died 23 Dec. 1833.
