Pardoe’s father was connected with Lord Sandwich in East India affairs. In 1780 he negotiated a seat for his son through the Treasury at a price of £4,000.1Laprade, 35. Pardoe junior supported North’s Administration, and on 18 Feb. 1783 voted against Shelburne’s peace preliminaries. He did not vote on Fox’s East India bill,2Morning Herald, 22 Jan. 1784. supported Pitt, and was returned for Plympton in 1784 on Lord Mount Edgcumbe’s interest. He seems not to have spoken in the House before 1790.
Pardoe died v.p. 26 Apr. 1796.
