Frepurs served at least six, rather than four, terms as mayor of Bedford. The previous biography also failed to note that he attested the Bedford return to the Commons of 1442, meaning that he attended at least 15 parliamentary elections for the borough.2 The Commons 1386-1421, iii. 130-1. He was still alive in August 1447 when he witnessed a deed relating to a mortgage of property at Bedford.3 Beds. and Luton Archs., Bedford bor. recs., deed, 1447, BorBE2/63.
