Bere, whose family had been settled in Devonshire since the fourteenth century,1Westcote, Devonshire, 461. represented Tiverton as a Whig in eight Parliaments under William III and Anne. In 1715 and in 1722 he was returned unopposed, voting with the Administration. He died 22 June 1725.
