Returned on the Admiralty interest for Rochester, Palmer consistently supported the Administration, speaking for the repeal of the Occasional Conformity and Schism Acts 7 Jan. 1719. ‘A man of pleasure and very extravagant in all things’, he died 8 Nov. 1723, leaving ‘his estate, which was not settled on his daughters, to Herbert Palmer his [illegitimate] son’.2Misc. Gen. et Her. i. 118.
