biography text
A collector of the poll tax of 1379 within the borough of Leicester, Bailly witnessed a document there in 1381. In 1405 he stood mainprise for Sir Richard Stanhope when the latter was granted custody of the lands of Sir Nicholas Goushill. In 1408 he was associated with John Church in obtaining land in the suburbs of Leicester. He was present at the borough parliamentary election of 1411.1Leicester Bor. Recs. ed.
