CHAMBERLAIN, Thomas II.

It is impossible to be certain about the identity of this obscure MP, who does not appear in the surviving records of Newcastle. A man of the same name was commissioned in November 1411 to purvey game for six months for the royal household, but there is no means of telling if he was subsequently returned to Parliament. A Thomas Chamberlain also occurs in February 1425, when he conveyed certain property in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire to Sir John Graa†, who had made him his feoffee-to-uses some four years before.1CPR, 1408-13, p. 345; 1422-29, p. 270.
