Before serving in the Parliament of 1410 Chertsey made an agreement with the bailiff and commonalty of Rochester to ask no more for his parliamentary wages than 4 s. a week. He witnessed a deed at Rochester in February 1417, and in 1423 was mentioned as a parishioner of the newly consecrated church of St. Nicholas.1C219/10/5; Harl. Ch. 49 F 16; Reg. Roffense ed.
