It may have been this John Cook who acted as a juror in September 1388 and March 1392 at inquiries held at Bridgnorth into a grant to St. Leonard’s church and regarding the administration of the chapel in Bridgnorth castle.1C143/407/6; C145/251/2; CIMisc. v. 353. At the parliamentary elections of 1406 he went surety for the appearance of Walter Green I. On the occasion of his own return in the following year he was described as a vintner and burgess of Bridgnorth.2C219/10/3, 4.
