EVERARD, John I, of Rochester, Kent.

In January 1400 Joan, widow of John Plomer II of Rochester, and John Everard ‘the younger’ entered into recognizances in £10 3s.4d. with Maurice Burgh.2CCR, 1399-1402, p. 119. Presumably John Everard ‘the elder’ was he who had been found guilty at the assizes of July 1383 of unlawful disseisin of rents of 26s. charged on land at Hollingbourne, Kent, and who, together with his wife Joan, made a conveyance of 11 acres there in 1404: JUST 1/1491 m. 18; CP25(1)111/262/207.
