Following his return to the Parliament of 1406, Fairclough does not appear in the records until, in 1426, he and Roger Wolley found sureties for members of the Colman family at the sessions of the peace held at Derby. In August 1427 he was among the six named burgesses who drew up the parliamentary election indenture, and in the following June he served as a juror at the local inquiry regarding the subsidy levied on parishes.
