FOWELL, Richard II.

The family of Fowell had been living in East Grinstead since the early 14th century, and Richard may have been the son of John Fowell, the town bailiff of 1404-5, although he himself is not otherwise identified.1Suss. Rec. Soc. x. 229; Suss. Arch. Colls. xv. 140; DL29/441/7103.
