biography text
Gore was fined 3d. in the borough court in 1414 for selling underweight bread. At the parliamentary elections of 1432 he was mainpernor for John Burgess of Maldon. In May 1434, as bailiff, he was one of those from Essex who took the general oath not to maintain breakers of the peace.2Ct. roll 9 m. 4v; C219/14/3; CPR, 1429-36, p. 401.
