Hobekyn served as a juror at the inquisition post mortem held in Midhurst in January 1384 following the death of Cecily, widow of John, Lord Bohun. It may have been he who was a tenant of land at Prinsted on Chichester harbour, for which rent was payable to Richard, earl of Arundel.1C136/31/7; Two Fitzalan Surveys (Suss. Rec. Soc. lxvii), 163.
