JEWDRY, Thomas, of Horsham, Suss.

In April 1369 Jewdry acquired, on a permanent basis, a shop with an upper chamber next to his house near the market-place at Horsham, having previously held it merely as a tenant. He was perhaps the father of John Jewdry, who lived in Horsham in the early 15th century.1Cat. Wiston Archs. ed. Booker, no. 1342; Add. Ch. 8884.
