biography text
It may well have been this John Marsh who witnessed deeds at Monkton Farleigh, Wiltshire, some three miles from Bath, in 1384 and 1385. He attested other deeds in the city itself between June 1395 and January 1407. In 1401, jointly with his wife and daughter, he leased a shop next door to his own premises from the mayor and commonalty at a rent of 10s. p.a., for term of their lives in survivorship.2Ancient Deeds Bath ed.
