biography text
Moigne attended meetings of the shire court held at Dorchester in 1417, 1426 and 1430 when electoral indentures were drawn up to record the outcome of the parliamentary elections for the Dorset boroughs. On each occasion his name appeared as a party to the return for Melcombe Regis.3C219/12/2, 13/4, 14/2.

Notes
- 1. It is not certain that Moigne sat in this Parliament, for although his name appears on the electoral indenture returned to Chancery, it was erased from the accompanying schedule, being replaced by that of William Walkeden (who sat for Melcombe in 1420 and 1423): C219/12/6. There is no reason to believe that Nicholas was related to Sir John Moigne*, although they both lived in Dorset.
