Very little is known about John Pernecote, the son of the MP of 1397. Though he possessed some property in Reading, there is little evidence of his activities there outside the field of parliamentary representation. However, he stood surety when Robert Godewyn was elected in September 1397, and for Philip Richard and John Hunt I in 1406.2C219/9/13, 10/3.
