biography text
Tregadereth lived quite near the borough which he represented in the Commons. In 1382 he was charged in the King’s bench with a minor infringement of the peace. Seven years later, when the Mariecog of Stralsund was seized at Falmouth on the pretext that her cargo belonged to the King’s enemies, and the goods on board were distributed among various local merchants and gentry of Cornwall, he acquired one pipe of wine, but whether he intended to trade with it or use it for his own consumption, is not clear.1KB27/483 m. 1; CPR, 1388-92, p. 212.
