biography text
In 1397 Walsh’s fellow Member in the Cambridge Parliament of 1388, Richard Morys, brought a plea of trespass against him in the borough court at Melcombe Regis. Walsh failed to appear, but it was held that as he was a burgess he would not, in accordance with local custom, be fined unless he defaulted twice more. At a court held in February the same year he stood surety under a penalty of £20 for the good behaviour of Thomas Sterer.2HMC 5th Rep. 576. Otherwise, apart from his bailiffship later on, nothing more is known of him.
