Returned unopposed for Calne in 1727, Wardour voted against the Administration on the civil list in 1729 and on the Hessians in 1730, but with them on the army in 1732, the excise bill in 1733, and the repeal of the Septennial Act in 1734. Defeated at Mitchell that year, he was returned for Fowey by the Administration in 1737, thereafter voting with them in all recorded divisions, except on the chairman of the elections committee, 16 Dec. 1741, when he voted against Walpole’s candidate. He died 17 July 1746.
