In December 1401 a writ of supersedeas nullifying a charge of trespass was issued in favour of Clerk, Richard Griston and John Helmeth, who all lived in Dunwich. In July 1412 Clerk was fined in the borough court for placing a briar rick on the common way.2CCR, 1399-1402, p. 481; Add. Ch. 40718.
