FULLER, Gregory, of Midhurst, Suss.

Fuller was a tenant of land at Woolbeding, just outside Midhurst, which he held of the earl of Arundel. On 29 Dec. 1401, a few months after sitting in his only Parliament for the borough, he was party to the townsmen’s attack on their lord, Sir John Bohun. One indictment made subsequently at Midhurst held that Fuller had gone with the local constable, Robert Cooper I, to keep the peace and prevent damage, only for Bohun and his followers to assault them and murder William Baggele; but jurors at Chichester alleged that Fuller and the rest had plotted Bohun’s death, and eventually they were amerced in the King’s bench.1Two Fitzalan Surveys (Suss.
