That there were two Portsmouth MPs of this name is suggested by the description of ‘junior’ given to the William Hicche elected to the Parliament of January 1397, but which of the two went on to sit in September that year and again in 1402 is uncertain, as, too, is the nature of their relationship.1E372/246 m. 41d.
