It It may have been this John Shoyll who in 1392 had been accused at the Dorchester assizes of dispossessing one John ‘in the Hylle’ of a messuage and 54 acres of land in Winterbourne ‘Maureward’. Otherwise he remains obscure.1JUST 1/1502 m. 56.
