Boucher, whose father ‘the gamester’1Luttrell, vi. 346; see Wentworth Papers, 63. bought Christian Malford and other estates in Wiltshire from Lord Wharton for £17,070 in 1705,2Wilts. N. & Q. vii. 428-9. is himself described by Le Neve as ‘no gent’.3Knights (Harl. Soc. viii), 463. Returned as a Tory at a by-election for Chippenham in 1723, he did not stand again. He died Feb. 1772.
