At the assizes held at Launceston in March 1403 Froden was named by Richard Trevanion and his wife, Joan, as one of their attorneys in a plea of novel disseisin. It is interesting to note that Trevanion’s other attorney was Michael Hoge, the man who accompanied Froden to the Gloucester Parliament of 1407, the only Parliament which Trevanion attended as a knight of the shire for Cornwall. In 1412 and 1413 Froden assisted another member of the Trevanion family, then being prosecuted in the King’s bench.
