In May 1411 Geldeford served as a juror on the Cinque Ports’ juries which indicted William Long II for piracy. When sitting in the Commons in 1413 as Member for Sandwich, he also represented Hythe for a time, being paid 11 days’ wages by that Port; furthermore, at the Brodhull which met in July the same year, Hythe paid him its share of what he had spent while up at Westminster on the renewal of the Ports’ charter.
