In April 1397, two months after the dissolution of his only known Parliament, Goldston served as a juror at an inquisition ad quod damnum held at Chichester. A parishioner of the city church of St. Olave, he was present in June that year when Bishop Rede made his visitation. He again served on a jury in the following summer, this time at the assizes at Lewes in a suit regarding the ownership of property in Chichester, but was committed to prison with his fellows for accepting bribes, there to remain until he paid a fine.
