Manners Sutton was returned on the Manners and Sutton interest at Newark. He voted for Shelburne’s peace preliminaries, 18 Feb. 1783; for parliamentary reform, 7 May 1783; and against Fox’s East India bill, 27 Nov. 1783. He followed his cousin the Duke of Rutland and supported Pitt throughout this Parliament, though he apparently disapproved of his part in the Westminster scrutiny.1HMC Rutland, iii. 186. There is no record of his having spoken in the House.
He died 17 Feb. 1826.
