Brudenell was not quite of age when he was returned for Marlborough by his cousin Charles, 2nd Earl of Ailesbury. He was expected to support administration, but made no mark in his first Parliament—no vote or speech is known. Subsequently he achieved notoriety, but not in Parliament. He died 27 Mar. 1868.
